Description:
Sunday, May 1st
Kick Off with the 14th Annual West End YMCA 2 mile walk or 5 K run at 9:00am – must preregister
12:00pm – 3:00pm FREE Community Event! First 100 kids get FREE WOW T-shirts
Elementary School Track Meet, begins at noon with 1/2 hour skills clinic for running and field
events. Girls begin with a running event, (50, 100 or 400 meter race), Boys begin with a field
event (Long jump, soft ball throw instead of shot put, Frisbee throw instead of Discus) then flip
flop at 1:30pm after events are run. The Track Meet will begin at 12:30pm after the singing of the
National Anthem.
• 11:45am Each child can register for 1 Running & 1 Field event. Kids will compete in heats by
age group.
• 12:30pm Girls Running Clinic. Events 50, 100 or 400 meter race.
• 12:30pm Boys Field Event Clinic. Events Long Jump, Soft Ball Throw, and Frisbee Throw.
• 1:30pm Boys Running Clinic. Events 50, 100 or 400 meter race.
• 1:30pm Girls Field Event Clinic. Events Long Jump, Soft Ball Throw, and Frisbee Throw. Middle
School Kids
• Ultimate Frisbee in South High Soccer Field 1pm
Family Fun all Day
• Hula hoop contest • Kids Zumba
• GAGA • Chalk Contests
• Camp Games & Songs • Obstacle Course
• Jump rope
• Concessions from 12-3pm at South High Stadium
Parking at South High Football Field for Elementary School (Grades K-5th) Fun Track & Field Meet.
In case of rain, alternative events will be held in the Main Gym, MPR & Program Gym at the West End
