Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Luncheon - Mentor Student Receives Award
The award program was established by the Ohio Educational Service Center Association to promote student achievement and to recognize outstanding students. One senior from each county within the State of Ohio receives this award annually. Eligible students must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as indicated by high school grades, test scores, and awards. Extra-curricular or community activities including class offices held, student government activities, athletics, music and/or theater, church activities, awards, and honors are submitted for all high school years. In addition, the recipient submits an outline of their short-term and long-term goals, both professional and personal. The award was presented to Alexandria at the April 11th Franklin B. Walter Awards Luncheon in Columbus. Alexandria was accompanied by her high school principal, Adam Dudziak, her parents Linda and John Summers,  and the superintendent of the Lake County ESC,  Jennifer Felker. In addition to the honor, Alexandria will receive a $200 book scholarship from the Lake County Educational Service Center Governing Board at the regular meeting of the Board on May 7, 2019.
