Reaching Individual Student's Exceptionalities (R.I.S.E.) Academy
Recent and historic research in the disciplines of education, administration, teaching, high school and Response to Intervention (RTI) denote that students succeed in environments that combine nurture in an academic setting. Therefore, R.I.S.E. Academy uses a "Whole Child” approach to education. The staff of R.I.S.E Academy are committed to providing therapeutic and educational strategies that help students obtain the skills needed to transition them into life upon graduation. R.I.S.E Academy is a program within the ESCWR. The program partners with Applewood Centers to create an academic environment for students who present as needing a therapeutic environment incorporated into their academic school day.
The mission of R.I.S.E. Academy is to teach behavioral and academic competencies that will help students embrace education and sustain meaningful relationships. In doing so, students of R.I.S.E. Academy will obtain skills needed for the 21century.
Vision: It is the vision that R.I.S.E Academy will become a premiere program of the ESCWR. Students will obtain educational experience aligned with the state standards and therapeutic strategies assisting them in maintaining appropriate relationships and preparing them for career readiness.
