Target Audience: Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents of Curriculum and Instruction, Curriculum Directors, High School Counselors, High School Principals, High School Math Department Teacher Leaders and Higher Education Staff Please join the ESCWR in hosting ODE Math expert and leader Anna Cannelongo as she shares an overview of the High School Math Pathways and Algebra 2 Course Alternatives. The course alternatives: Quantitative Reasoning/ MMR, Data Science Foundations, Discrete Math/Computer Science, Statistics and Probability, and Algebra 2 (updates) are important pathways for our local schools and districts to consider as our students need a more focused approach aligned to students' projected career paths. In addition, the scope and sequence of these courses incorporate hands on learning, real world application, critical thinking, as well as incorporate the CCSS Mathematical Practice standards.If you missed the November 9-10 Math Pathways Virtual Symposium, this is an opportune time to attend this session as pilot applications for Quantitative Reasoning and Data Science Foundations are due on December 16, 2021 to the Department.
