Biographical Information:
Kristin Llewellyn is native to northeast Ohio, where she has served the community in the field of
community social work and advocacy with her previous professional experience with Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Northeast Ohio and Lake County Prosecutor’s Office in victim services. Ms. Llewellyn
cultivated her interest in working with students because of her own personal academic struggles to
become educated. Llewellyn went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Human Services from
Lakeland Community College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work form Youngstown State
University.
Ms. Llewellyn underwent additional professional development opportunities with the O.D.E. and The
Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University in order to be effective in
her role as a school liaison. Areas of emphasis that Llewellyn has additional expertise in are school
based/community programming, family engagement, and community outreach.
Llewellyn’s approach to working with students and families is compassionate, practical and is
judgement free. She utilizes a strength-based approach that addresses the needs of the whole
child, and that assists students and families so that they feel empowered!
