BRC is an educational program that provides both therapeutic day treatment as well as academic instruction. Students (1st--12th grade) participate in therapeutic activity for 2 hours and 31 minutes throughout the day, integrated with grade level academic instruction. Classroom staffing is comprised of a Therapist, Intervention Specialist, and Paraprofessional. Kindergarten students participate in 90 minutes of skill buildiing throughout the day led by a Therapeutic Behavior Support (TBS) Specialist. The remainder of the day is included in the general kindergarten classroom with Intervention Specialist and Paraprofessional support. Each classroom can accommodate a maximum of six students. Wrap around services for home/school continuity are available through the TBS for all classes.
BRC classrooms are open to students in Geauga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties. The classrooms are staffed by Geauga and Lake County Educational Service Centers in collaboration with Ravenwood Health and Signature Health.
Students qualifying for any of these classrooms are open to receive wrap-around, in-home supports through Ravenwood health or Signature Health to increase home and school connection supporting continuity of care.
